Things to do in Luss
-
Luss Pier and a loch cruise
Walk out on the pier for the view back at the village, or sail from it. Cruise Loch Lomond’s Luss Circular takes 90 minutes (adult £19) and Sweeney’s Island Safari takes 75 minutes (adult £21). Cruise Loch Lomond’s scheduled sailings run to the end of October, so check the operators for winter. There is more on the Luss Pier in its own guide.

A boat to Balmaha or Inchcailloch
Cruise Loch Lomond sails from Luss to Balmaha, where the Conic Hill walk starts, and runs an Island Explorer to Inchcailloch, one of the islands on the loch. On the autumn timetable checked on 12 October 2026, boats leave Luss at 10:00, 11:30, 13:15 and 14:45. Summer times may differ.

The beach
A pebble-and-sand shore beside the mouth of Luss Water, with hills across the loch. Good for a picnic on a calm day.

Village stroll and church
Stone cottages with gardens line the village street, and Luss Parish Church sits close by. Check whether the church is open on the day before you plan around it.
-
A longer walk
For an easy woodland walk, try the Loch Lomond Faerie Trail. The Three Lochs Way is the long-distance option for a full day. There are more walks around the loch too.
