Where can you eat in Luss?
Luss has a village pub, two restaurants and a cafe that each publish their own website. Does Luss have a pub? Yes: The Stag & Two Hounds, in the Loch Lomond Arms, is the village pub, and it is open to people who are not staying there. For a sit-down restaurant, there is the Village Rest in the village and Colquhoun’s on the A82. For a coffee, the cafe at Luss Distillery needs no booking.
We list a venue only when we have read its own website. Other cafes and takeaways may be open in the village, but we could not verify them, so we do not name them. We do not quote hours, ratings or prices: they change, and review scores are not a fact we can check. The venues’ own sites are the place for those.
Decide where to eat before you park, because the car parks are on the edge of the village. Parking in Luss has the tariff, and the village of Luss has the rest of the plan.
Places to eat and drink in Luss
One row per venue, drawn from the venue’s own website on 13 October 2026. The columns say what it is, where it is, what it serves and what to check.

How to choose
Decide what you want
For a drink and a pub meal, choose The Stag & Two Hounds. For a sit-down meal with a loch view, Colquhoun’s describes a glass frontage over the water. For coffee and a snack, the cafe at the distillery takes no booking.
Work out the walk from the car park
The distillery is on Church Road. From the South Car Park it is a short walk across the village green, and from the North Car Park you follow the signs to the village centre, past the General Store. The distillery says parking in the village itself is residents only, and that both car parks are paid.
Book if the place takes bookings
Colquhoun’s takes reservations online, and the Loch Lomond Arms has a reserve-a-table link. The distillery cafe takes no bookings. We do not know whether the Village Rest does, so check its website.
Bring the dog only where it is welcome
The Village Rest allows well-behaved dogs, and the distillery cafe welcomes them indoors and outdoors. We have not confirmed a dog policy at the other two venues, so ask.

Check before you go
- Opening hours: we give none. The venues’ own sites show them, but some are undated, so call or check the day before in the off-season.
- Allergies: the distillery cafe cannot guarantee the absence of trace allergens, because its food is made in a small kitchen. Tell staff before you order.
- Public toilets in Luss cost 50p, and the National Park’s list shows 08:00 to 20:00. The page is undated, so check on the day.
- A seafood bar: we could not read an official page for one in Luss, so we do not list one. Look in the village on the day.
- Prices and ratings: we give none. Check the menus on the venues’ own sites.
