Callander campsite: tents, tourers and permits
Campsites in town, the National Park's tent site and the permit rules for the lochs

Can I sleep in my car in a campsite?
It depends on the site, so ask before you arrive. Keltie Bridge, for example, admits converted campervans and motorhomes only if they meet its conversion rules, with at least one side window, and it does not allow commercial vehicles. In the National Park's camping zones a permit is needed from 1 March to 30 September.
Is Callander, Scotland worth visiting?
Yes. The National Park describes Callander as a tourist town on the River Teith and the A84, west of Stirling, beneath wooded crags. It is a good base for the Trossachs lochs and hills, and it has campsites for tents and tourers.
Are there any caravan sites in Callander?
Yes. Keltie Bridge Caravan Park has 27 standard and 37 fully serviced touring pitches, and Callander Woods Holiday Park has touring and motorhome pitches. The National Park lists both.
Is there a campsite in Callander for tents?
Keltie Bridge says it is the only campsite in Callander for tents, with a limited number of riverside pitches. The National Park's Loch Achray campsite, six miles west, is tents only but was closed for the season in October 2026.
How much is a tourer pitch at Keltie Bridge?
£35 a night in low season and £38 in July and August for a tourer or motorhome with electric hook-up, 2 adults and 2 children. Fully serviced pitches are from £38 and £41. These are the site's prices as seen on 13 October 2026.
Can I wild camp near Callander?
