Where do you park in Callander, and what does it cost?

Park in one of the three council car parks. Stirling Council lists Riverside, Station Road and Riverside (Meadows) under a single tariff: £3 for 2 hours, £4 for 4 hours and £6 for the whole day. We read the council page on 13 October 2026, and it was last updated on 30 September 2026.

Charges apply between 8:45am and 5pm. Callander is one of two council car parks, with Balmaha, that also charge on Sundays. Parking is free on the bank holidays the council lists, which are New Year’s Day, 2 January, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Heading for the hills instead? The Callander Crags walk has its own car park on Bracklinn Road, covered below. A day on Ben Ledi starts from a different car park, and Ben A’an is a separate outing with its own page. For the town itself, see Callander and what to do there.

Car parks, the Crags and the bus

The council car parks set beside the two hill car parks and the ways to arrive without driving. Prices and times are as they stood on the date shown above, and we say where we have no value.

What it costs and how to pay

  1. Pick your band

The council lists £3 for 2 hours, £4 for 4 hours and £6 for all day, with no hourly rate. A day on Ben Ledi or a long lunch plus the Crags will want the all-day band.

  2. Pay with cash or RingGo

Stirling Council takes cash in all its car parks, and RingGo for cashless payment. Callander is a pay and display car park, so the ticket has to be displayed.

  3. Use the free windows

Charges apply from 8:45am to 5pm, and the bank holidays listed above are free. Always read the signs on the day.

  4. Do not sleep in the vehicle

A motorhome may use one bay, but sleeping overnight in a motorhome parked in a council car park is not allowed. See where to camp around Callander for a pitch.

  5. Walk to the Crags or drive up

The National Park says the Callander Crags walk starts at a car park, with Bracklinn Falls a short walk up the road. The walk is a circuit of about 4 km to a cairn at 343 m.

Rules, toilets and how busy it gets

  • Fines: we found no published penalty amount for the council car parks, so we give none. Display a valid ticket.
  • Spaces and fill times: not published by any source we found. We do not guess them.
  • Toilets: Station Road toilets are listed at 8:00am to 6:00pm seven days a week, with accessible toilets and baby changing. The National Park page is undated, so check on the day.
  • Electric vehicles: we found no verified charging point at the council car parks, so check an app before you rely on one.
  • Motorcycles park free with no time limit in any Stirling Council car park.
  • The Crags car park: the National Park and a community walk guide describe it, but neither gives a tariff, a postcode or a number of spaces. Read the signs, and treat any price you see online as unverified.
