Inversnaid hotel and where to stay at Inversnaid
The hotel, the bunkhouse and camping on the east shore
The Inversnaid Hotel is a coaching hotel on the north-east shore of Loch Lomond, and it releases unsold rooms for self-drive breaks four weeks ahead, with limited B&B availability. The other place to stay is the Inversnaid Bunkhouse, a converted church with rooms, camping and a licensed restaurant, 800 m from the West Highland Way. Both are small and remote, so book ahead and bring food for the day.

Where can you stay at Inversnaid?
There are two places to stay in the village: the Inversnaid Hotel and the Inversnaid Bunkhouse. The hotel is on the north-east shore of Loch Lomond, beside the pier, at the Stirlingshire end of the B829 from Aberfoyle. The bunkhouse is a short way along the shore, in a converted 19th-century church.
You can stay at the hotel without a coach tour, but only for some dates. The hotel's own site says it is run by Lochs & Glens Holidays as a coaching hotel, that unsold rooms are released for self-drive breaks four weeks ahead, and that a limited number of rooms are available for shorter B&B stays. If your dates are fixed, the bunkhouse is the safer bet.
Nothing else is listed in the village on the pages we read. For more choice, Tarbet is across the loch with a station, a pier and a larger hotel, and the places below are the nearest alternatives.

Choose and book
Decide how you are arriving
By car, the road is the B829 from Aberfoyle. By boat, Cruise Loch Lomond sails from Tarbet. On foot, Inversnaid is on the West Highland Way. Our public transport to the loch page covers the train and coach to Tarbet.
Pick the hotel or the bunkhouse
The hotel suits a couple wanting a bar and dinner on site, and its self-drive rooms appear four weeks ahead. The bunkhouse suits walkers, groups and dogs, and takes bookings online.
Sort out parking
The RSPB reserve page lists a council-run car park at the hotel with about 40 spaces and no height restriction, and 7 spaces at Garrison Farm. Neither listing says whether overnight parking is allowed, so ask your host. The Inversnaid parking rules will cover it, and car park prices and rules covers the wider loch.
Book your food
The bunkhouse takes dinner, breakfast and packed-lunch orders at check-in. Whether the hotel's bar and dining room are open to non-residents is not stated on its site, so ask.
