Where should you stay at Inveruglas?
Stay at Loch Lomond Holiday Park if you have a motorhome or campervan, because that is how the National Park lists it. We could not read the park's own website, and third-party booking pages we saw also advertise caravan and lodge stays at a park of that name, so ask the park which pitches and units it has before you book.
Use a motorhome permit bay instead if you want a night beside the loch without a park. Inveruglas is one of three permit locations with Firkin Point and Three Lochs Forest Drive. A permit costs £4.50 per night for up to three nights and is needed from 1 March to 30 September; from 1 October to the end of February none is needed, so as at 13 October 2026 a night on a permit bay needs no permit. The bays are about 8 m by 2.5 m, with no water or waste points and no caravans.
If you want a hotel, a pub or a bunkhouse, you will need to look beyond Inveruglas. Ardlui is the next base north, and Tarbet and Inversnaid are the next south and across the water. Where to stay in Ardlui covers the hotel and its holiday park.

Choose and book
Decide whether Inveruglas is your base
Inveruglas suits a night in a motorhome and a visit to the viewpoint. For everything else it is a stop. Inveruglas and what to do there is the village guide.
Pick your kind of stay
A pitch at the holiday park, a permit bay, or a bed at Ardlui, Tarbet or Inversnaid. The table shows what we could check.
Work out how you will arrive
Coaches along the A82 include Citylink 975 and 976 and the Ember E5, but the stop lists we hold name Ardlui, Tarbet and Luss, not Inveruglas. The National Park's access guide names a bus stop outside Loch Sloy Power Station. How to get here covers the full options, and loch-side parking guide covers the public car parks.
Ask about dogs and season
Neither is stated on a page we could read for the holiday park. Ask before you plan around it.
Use the official site first
Book direct with the park or the National Park permit system for their own terms. Where we add a partner link, we always give the official option beside it.

- Is the visitor centre car park open overnight, and are the toilets open? The access guide gives daytime hours only.
- Dog rules: we could not read any for the park.
