Loch Lomond Spring Competition 2014

Win two nights bed & breakfast at Hill View B&B in Killearn

The village of Killearn nestles beneath the Campsie Fells and overlooks the Kilpatrick Hills. Hill View B&B is located approximately 15 miles north of Glasgow and 7 miles east of Loch Lomond. The village of Killearn is the ideal place to stay when visiting central Scotland. The Glengoyne Whisky Distillery, the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and the West Highland Way long-distance footpath are situated close to the village.

In the heart of Killearn, you will find the Buchanan Monument which was erected in 1788. It commemorates George Buchanan (1506-1582) who was a great scholar and tutor to King James VI of Scotland (and I of England). George Buchanan was born at The Moss in Killearn and started his education in the village before studying in St. Andrews and Paris.
