Rowardennan, Ben Lomond 4 x 4 Drive
This event takes place EVERY FRIDAY in July and August. This is a chance to see Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond from the high road. As a passenger in the ranger 4X4 vehicle you will travel up a very rough farm track 2 miles up the hill to around 250m altitude, around ¼ of the way up Ben Lomond. There are great vantage points for views both up the hill and down the loch-side, so bring the camera! There are plenty of opportunities to find out about all aspects of the hill and surrounding area on this ranger guided drive, including natural habitats and wildlife, history and archaeology, and present day management.

The Ardess Hidden History Trail Rowardennan
Discover the hidden archaeological traces of life in past times on east Loch Lomondside. These low-level, ranger-guided archaeology walks are suitable for the whole family, and give an opportunity to delve into the history of the Rowardennan area. This event takes place every Wednesday throughout July and August. Check the website for the dates and times.

The Batik Guild celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2011 and this exhibition brings together new work by members across the UK and Europe. The exhibition will also provide an insight into the history of the technique of batik work, including references to the Bearsden born artist Jessie Marion King who compiled a practical booklet about batik work.

Loch Lomond Folk Festival
Now in its 12th year, this festival offers a blend of traditional folk music and song including concerts, sessions and workshops, as well as a craft fair, kids entertainment and a camping/caravan site, all on the banks of Loch Lomond. There is free music in the Village Square all day on Saturday and Sunday, and ticketed performances each evening, which usually includes a Ceilidh on Friday night, and concerts on Saturday and Sunday in the Festival Marquee.
The first acts confirmed are Alan Reid and Rob Van Sante, Scheihallion, Yuptae, Lyra Celtica, Diamh, Jock Urquhart, Adam Sutherland, John Somerville, Ian Copeland Hell for Leather, Oreste, Helensburgh and District Pipe Band, and others still to be announced.
