There can be no better place than the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in which to cycle. While many visitors bring their own bikes, a wide array are available for hire and to suit all ages. A mountain bike is probably the best bet!

For families you can add on a tag-a-long or even hire a trailer for the toddlers and those of you wishing to tour on your bike, we also provide front and rear panniers.

Cycles on Trains with Scotrail

Cycles and Bikes on Trains
Cycles are carried free on all ScotRail services, but space is limited (ScotRail aim to provide between two and six spaces per train), so free reservations are essential on long-distance trains to Inverness, Aberdeen, Stranraer, the West Highlands and the far North. The London-Scotland Caledonian Sleeper carries up to six bikes, but space must be reserved in advance.
 
Tandems and Tricycles are not permited.
There are no special restrictions on folding bikes.
