Helensburgh Golf Club was founded in August 1893 with an original layout that was approved by Old Tom Morris, and extended in 1905 to 18 holes. James Braid visited Helensburgh in the 1920s setting out several bunkers, which still catch out the golfers of today. The moorland course has views across the Clyde Estuary and Loch Lomond. Natural hazards and undulating fairways will test your golf skills. The well-maintained course offers a variety of golf with an excellent clubhouse, catering facilities and professional shop.
Visitors are most welcome, Monday to Friday. For parties, advance booking via the office is requested, but small groups and individuals may book directly with the professional. Catering is available to suit all tastes and day packages can be provided.
Green fees for 2005: £30 per round or £40 day ticket
