Players enjoy magnificent vistas from Ben Lomond to the north and much of Central Scotland to the east. Designed by Willie and Laurie Auchterlonie of St Andrews it also boasts features added later by James Braid. Its 5818 yards and par of 68 belie a most challenging layout which puts a premium on accuracy off the tee. For very many years it has enjoyed the reputation of having the finest greens in the county.
