At the same time, the house exudes a sense of warmth, comfort and homeliness. A large dining room with wood burning stove, comfortable sitting room and spacious country kitchen with range cooker comprise the main rooms of the house. A fully equipped laundry / drying room, complete with dehumidifier/heater and Sheila Maid, guarantees that all your wet gear will be dry by morning. A games room with a 6x3ft snooker table has doors leading to the patio and garden.
The house stands in an elevated position with large private gardens of mature shrubs and lawns, situated on the shores of Loch Long with uninterrupted views of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. Loch Lomond lies 2 miles to the East.
In the heart of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, activities such as walking, climbing, golf, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, sailing and various other watersports are on the doorstep, while the centre of Glasgow and its abundance of culture is only a 45 minute drive away. The immediate area has a wealth of attractions, including Inveraray Castle, Charles Rennie Mackintosh?s Hill House, the glorious gardens of Argyll & Bute, the Glengoyne Whisky Distillery and the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar.
The house is situated 100 yards from the Village Inn, a well renowned traditional bar and restaurant serving excellent Scottish fayre, which appears in the Good Beer Guide. Other fine restaurants in the vicinity include The Creggans Inn, Cameron House Hotel and Loch Lomond Castle Lodges. The village shop is a two minute walk from the house, and other amenities are close by.
