CowalFest 2018

This annual walking and outdoors festival is one of the largest and most varied walking festivals in Scotland, with more than 60 walks led by expert and knowledgeable walk leaders. All ages and abilities are catered for. There are walk/talks covering a variety of interests, such as bird watching, heritage, geology, photography, and guided tours of Benmore Botanical Gardens.

Wear It Pink charity event for Breast Cancer Care

Draped in pink, Hawkshead store at Lomond shores is raising money for Breast Cancer Care. Enjoy a pink treat from their bake sale and also a pink drink. Take part in the raffle while the kids enjoy special instore activities. Support this great cause and visit Hawkshead at Lomond shores.

This October bring your wild things on an adventure at RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond. Search the pond for weird and wonderful creatures of the deep, hunt for beasts that creep and crawl in the meadows and go exploring in the woods. Don’t forget your wellies for the welly wanging competition and for concocting some magical mud recipes in our very own mud kitchen! Saving Scottish Red Squirrels will be here too, with squirrel trails, games and the chance to become a red squirrel detective. So, wrap up, pack your wellies and join in the fun. The Wallace Monument Stirling
From April to September the Wallace Monument by Stirling holds live performances by costumed actors – bringing Sir William Wallace and the characters of his time to life. Listen to the story of The Battle of Stirling Bridge, or even have your photograph taken with a Scottish warrior from the 14th Century! Presentations take place between 11.15am and 3.30pm each day on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays (and at weekends only from October until December, and during February and March).
