The Balfron 10k
The Balfron 10k Race, sponsored by Mulberry Bush Montessori, will take place on Sunday 23rd April. This year, the course will be changing. Instead of immediately heading out into the countryside from the start at the High School, runners will now make their way through the heart of Balfron village. The new section will take in Cotton Street, Buchanan Street (the village’s main street) and Dunmore Street before rejoining the original route at Roman Road. The KiltWalk, Glasgow - Balloch
The Glasgow event is the biggest Kiltwalk of the year and takes place on Sunday 30th April with three separate walks, The Mighty Stride which is a smidge under twenty six miles, The Big Stroll which is over fourteen miles in length and The Wee Wander which is three laps of Balloch Country Park comprising a total of just over 6 miles.
Scottish Farmers' Markets at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch
1st and 3rd Sundays of each month
Perhaps the most panoramic situation of any market in Scotland. Featuring around 30 regular stallholders ranging from cheese and chocolate makers through to producers of organic eggs, beef, lamb, pork, home made soup, smoked foods, seafood, jams, confectionery and home baking. Entry to the Farmers’ Market is free. Open 10 am till 3.30 pm.
