Callander Jazz & Blues Festival

From the 28th to 30th September, Scotland's largest rural jazz and blues festival hits Callander, in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Amidst stunning scenery, enjoy soul, boogie, live jazz and blues in a variety of venues with over 50 gigs and over 200 musicians. From solo artists to big bands, enjoy a long weekend of great music in the autumn splendour of the Trossachs

Ben Lomond Torchlight Parade

On Saturday 15th September, watch out for the Beacon Light from the Beacon Hill as the Ben Lomond Torchlight Challenge takes place. The night walk up Ben Lomond is to raise funds for National Trust for Scotland's conservation work on the Ben and the Lomond Mountain Rescue Team. Whether coated with snow, buffeted by wind, haloed by the Northern Lights, or reflected in still waters - this icon at Loch Lomond stands tall. Take a tour!

New Runrig Tartan

August 2018 saw Scottish Celtic rock group Runrig's The Last Dance farewell concert in Stirling below the castle ramparts. Formed in 1973 as a trio by Rory MacDonald, Calum MacDonald and Blair Douglas, adding Donnie Munro the following year. Marking Runrig's 45th anniversary and their final concert, the group now have a Runrig Tartan created by a young, tartan design company called Prickly Thistle.
