Ideal Location
Dating from the 19th century, Bay Cottage in Balmaha provides an ideal base for touring Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, Stirling and Glasgow. It is approximately 35 minutes drive from Glasgow Airport located on the east shore of the loch.

Our 19th century cottage offers all the facilities you would wish to make your stay as comfortable as possible and has the following accommodation available:

Loch Lomond, truly a loch for all seasons
For the Outdoor Enthusiast
There is much to do and see on our doorstep. For the walker there are marvellous tracks and trails to suit all, with the famous West Highland Way walk literally yards from our doorway and the foot of Ben Lomond (a munro at over 3,000 feet) about seven miles away.
Local fishing boats and permits are available locally, and for the golf enthusiast there is a fine choice of courses in and around the area to suit all levels. Weather permitting, we can arrange transportation by boat to the Loch Lomond golf tournament.
Travel Directions
From the M8: Follow the M8 to Erskine Bridge, across bridge turn left on to A82, head for Balloch. At roundabout turn right onto A811, through Balloch. Head for Drymen (7 miles) At T-junction, turn left 1/4 mile. Turn left into Drymen and follow as below.
From the outskirts of Glasgow: Heading through Bearsden, follow the scenic A809 to Drymen.
From Drymen: Just before the Square in Drymen turn left and follow the B837 to Balmaha. Bay Cottage is located on the right hand side overlooking Loch Lomond.
