TRADITIONAL HIGHLAND GAMES FOR KINLOCHARD
Set on the banks of Loch Ard with Ben Lomond as the backcloth, the Rob Roy Highland Games on 20 July at Kinlochard are not to be missed.  Very much a traditional games with open heavy events, tug-o-war, and the World Championship Giant Sack Race as well as children's events, a duck race on the river Chon, and piping and dancing, there is something for everyone at this event which stasrt off with a Grand March to the games from the nearby Forest Hills Hotel, who are main sponsors of the event.  New this year is traditional Celtic Backhold wrestling which is an ancient sport of the highlanders.
There will be a bus service from Aberfoyle to the Games so you can leave your car in the main car park in Aberfoyle. At night, there will be a traditional Family Ceilidh Dance in the village hall, Kinlochard featuring the Kinlochard Ceilidh Band
