17th October 2008 Beefy's Great British Walk Join Sir Ian Botham, President of Leukaemia Research on his 12th charity walk. Together we can make this walk the most successful yet. This year’s walk will be taking place for 9 days between October 10th and 18th and will visit 9 towns throughout the UK. On Day 8 - on the 17th October 2008 the walk comes to Mugdock Country Park just outside of Milngavie. Mugdock Country Park is one of Scotland's most popular visitor attractions offering a great countryside experience. Sunday 26th October Mugdock Country Park Try out Cyclo-Cross 11am – 2pm An opportunity for keen cyclists to have a go at this tough endurance sport. Follow a marked route over varying terrain and try to complete as many circuits as you can. 11am: youth race, 12pm: adult race, 1.30pm: children’s race. Meet at the Visitor Centre.
