Dining at The Stables is a light and informal affair, which appeals to a wide range of customer - from those looking for a quick business meeting lunch (free internet connection) to lingering girlie chats.

We enjoy a reputation as the place of choice for family get togethers which creates a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
Visitors and regulars alike love our house Steak Pie and our Homemade Soups are hard to beat. Having a vegetarian manager means our veggie friends are well catered for and the younger members of our family keep us well informed regarding what the discerning under ten year old is eating these days.

With one of the proprietors as head chef and another as front of house manager you are always assured of that little bit extra when you visit the Stables.We are within a 40 minute drive from Glasgow or Stirling and definitely worth finding.

Fresh ideas at The Stables - includes a tempting display of cakes to enjoy in the restaurant or to take away for later. Drive up for a coffee available to take away as well. Sunday supplements to the menu are The big Sunday Brunch Fry up and Sunday Roast Beef Dinner.

The Hungry Monk Restaurant has now closed. Located 5 miles from Balloch on the A811 the Hungrey Monk is part of the Cawley Group of hotels.  The Hungry Monk is under major re-development. A new retail site is coming soon! Watch out for further news!
